Social Media - Day #20: Web 2.0 Tools to Try

Web 2.0 Tools to Try: There are many valuable webtools and resources for students to use. For each tool listed below, visit the site and share on your blog the following:

* Write a short summary about the webtool or website.
* Share what you created by adding a gadget on your blog or inserting a screen shot in a post.
  1. Create a Signature: Use My Live Signature to create a graphical version of your signature you can use on your site or on any electronic document. Once you get to the site, select the link for: Using the signature creation wizard. Take a screen shot of your finished signature!
  2. WordItOut: At WordItOut you can transform your text into words. Just click the "Create" tab, enter your words and click "Word It Out!" If you are not pleased with the layout, click "redraw" until you like what you see! Scroll down and you can change the settings for color, etc. Add a description and a screen shot of your design to your blog.
  3. Build Your Wild Self: Ready to build your Wild Self? Visit this website and first, design your human self. Then, choose your favorite animal parts and go wild. Click "I'm Done" to save your creation. Remember to add a description of the site and a screen shot of your design to your blog. If you select "Get a Wild Desktop", you will get a screen view of your picture. Then control-click on it and you can save the image on your desktop. From there you can place it in your post!
  4. PhotoShow: With this site, you can turn your photos into a dazzling PhotoShow! It's fast, fun, and FREE! You will have to sign up in order to save your photoshow. First, you will need a few pictures so you might want to visit ImageZone or PhotoBooth! Begin, by clicking the "Get Started Now" button. Then add your pictures and click upload. Next, view your slideshow and have fun trying different styles. You can also add captions, bubbles, stickers, borders, etc. These are really cool!
